Keynote Speakers
Takehiro Nakamura
SVP and General Manager, 5G Labs, NTT DOCOMO
Biography: Mr. Takehiro Nakamura joined NTT Laboratories in 1990. He is now SVP and General Manager of the 6G Laboratories in NTT DOCOMO, Inc.
Mr. Nakamura has been engaged in R&D and the standardization activities for the W-CDMA, HSPA, LTE/LTE-Advanced and 5G at ARIB in Japan since 1997. He has been the Acting Chairman of Strategy & Planning Committee of 5G Mobile Communications Promotion Forum(5GMF) in Japan since October 2014.
Mr. Nakamura has also been contributing to standardization activities in 3GPP since 1999, including as a contributor to 3GPP TSG-RAN as chairman from April 2009 to March 2013.
He is also very active in standardization of C-V2X/Connected Car in ARIB and ITS Info-communications Forum in Japan. He is now a leader of Cellular System Task Group of ITS Info-communications Forum.
Gerhard Fettweis
Vodafone Chair Mobile Communications, TU Dresden
Biography: Gerhard P. Fettweis, earned his Ph.D. under H. Meyr at RWTH Aachen. After a postdoc at IBM Research, San Jose, he joined TCSI, Berkeley. Since 1994 he is Vodafone Chair Professor at TU Dresden. Since 2018 he also heads the Barkhausen Institute. 2019 he was elected into the DFG Senate.
He researches wireless transmission and chip design, and coordinates e.g. the 5GLab Germany, has spun-out 18 startups, and is member of 2 German Academies: Academy of Sciences/“Leopoldina”, Academy of Engineering/“acatech”.

Roger Nichols
5G and 6G Program Manager and Director of Wireless Standards, Keysight Technologies
Biography:
Roger Nichols is has been directing Keysight’s 5G Programs for three years. His 32 years of engineering and management experience in wireless test and measurement at Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, and Keysight spans roles in manufacturing, R&D, and marketing. He has worked in programs spanning the evolution from analog cellular radio to 4G and every standard in between. He spent seven years as the Senior Marketing Director for Keysight’s (Agilent’s) Mobile Broadband Operation responsible for the wireless test-sets and systems that are used in all major design and certification labs as well as manufacturing facilities worldwide.
Rogers holds a BSEE from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Tzi-Cker Chiueh
Vice President & General Director, ICL, ITRI
Biography: Prof. Chiueh is the Vice President & General Director of Information and Communications Laboratories and was a General Director of Cloud Computing Center for Mobile Application, Industrial Technology Research Institute,a professor of Computer Science department, Stony Brook University, New York. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of California at Berkeley, and served as the director of Core Research in Symantec Research Labs between 2007 and 2009.
Dr.Chiueh has published over 250 technical papers in refereed conferences and journals. His current research interest lies in computer security, storage systems and wireless networking.

Alex Chou
CTO, Auden
Biography: Jui-Hung (Alex) Chou received the B.S. degree from National Taipei University of Technology, the M.S. degree from National Sun Yat-sen University and the Ph.D. degree from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2004, 2006 and 2014, respectively. From 2006 to 2010, he was employed by LiteOn corp. as an antenna engineer. He worked for National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology as an Assistance Researcher, where he was involved in the research and development of large antenna array (up to thousands of antenna elements) radar system. He joined the Advanced Research Center at Auden Techno. Corp. in Jane 2017 as a CTO. His current research interests are mmWave antenna array module for 5G applications, large antenna array calibration and measurement, mmWave sensor radars for automotive and industry applications.
I-Kang Fu
Director, Standard Strategy, MediaTek
Biography: Dr. I-Kang Fu (IK.Fu@mediatek.com) received his Ph. D degree from the Department of Communication Engineering of National Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan, in 2007. He is currently a Director of Standard Strategy in MediaTek Advanced Communication Technology Division, contributing to Beyond 5G standardization in 3GPP TSG-RAN, driving the new technology initiatives such as cellular/satellite network integration, and exploring pre-6G technology trends. Prior to 5G, he was actively contributing to 4G standardization work in IEEE and 3GPP since 2005.
Tzi-Cker Chiueh

Wen-Rong Wu
Department of Communication Engineering, National Chiao Tung University (NCTU)
Biography: Wen-Rong Wu was born in Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1958. He received his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Tatung Institute of Technology, Taiwan, in 1980, M.S. degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering, and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1985, 1986, and 1989 respectively. Since August 1989, he has been a faculty member in the Department of Communication Engineering in National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan. His research interests include digital communications and statistical signal processing.
