WS-07: Workshop on Space-Ground Integrated Networks (SGINs)

WS-07: Workshop on Space-Ground Integrated Networks (SGINs)

Workshop Organizers:

  • Lianfeng Shen, Professor, Southeast University, China (lfshen@seu.edu.cn)
  • Yi Wu, Professor, Fujian Normal University, China (wuyi@fjnu.edu.cn)

Scope and Topics of the Workshop

Space-Ground Integrated Networks (SGINs) will be the most important part of the 6G. It is a comprehensive utilization of many new information network technologies, which can take full advantages of the individual information technology of space, ground and sea communications. Due to the significant importance in global economy and data security, SGIN has increasingly attracted attention from academic scholars and industrial experts in both commercial level and the military decision-making level. Provided the diversity of services carried by the integrated network of space, ground and sea, as well as the characteristics of large space-time, long delay, interruption, multi-track and multi-type, SGINs compromises more complex and diverse research topics.

The topics of the workshop include but are not limited to the following:

  • SGINs technology in 6G
  • Network architecture in SGINs
  • Network protocols in SGINs
  • Platform technology in SGINs
  • Quality of services and routing technology in SGINs
  • Measurement and control technology in SGINs
  • Security defense technology in SGINs
  • Network management in SGINs
  • Cloud computing, mobile edge computing and fog computing in SGINs
  • Software defined networking technology in SGINs
  • Information processing technology in SGINs
  • Ground mobile communication technology for SGINs
  • Space optical communication technology for SGINs
  • Satellite mobile communications technology for SGINs
  • Ships communication technology for SGINs
  • Unmanned aerial vehicle for SGINs
  • Internet-of-Things for SGINs
  • Artificial intelligence for SGINs
  • Applications of SGINs
